Why Learning Entrepreneurship Early is Important Today?

Many students spend most of their school years focusing on examinations and structured academic outcomes. Alongside academic learning, students can also benefit from experiences that encourage observation, creativity, communication, teamwork, and practical problem-solving.

The Infinity Juniors Entrepreneurship Bootcamp introduces students to these skills through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, real-world observation, and idea-building exercises.

The programme encourages students to:

  • Observe situations more carefully
  • Ask thoughtful questions
  • Work collaboratively in teams
  • Develop practical solutions to real-world problems
  • Communicate ideas with clarity and confidence
  • Learn through experimentation and feedback

No prior knowledge of business, coding, or entrepreneurship is required.

Entrepreneurship as Structured Thinking

Learners are guided to approach problems step by step, starting from observation and problem definition to exploring solutions and building simple prototypes, while considering feasibility and real-world constraints.

Learning within an IIT Environment

Participants engage with structured, inquiry-led learning practices in an IIT Bombay setting through guided workshops and hands-on activities that encourage exploration and clarity of thought.

Early Exposure to Applied Problem Solving

The programme helps build comfort with new situations, teamwork, and clear communication through observation-based tasks, group activities, and iterative feedback-based learning.

The 5-Day Breakdown

Day 1: Seeing the World Differently

Skillset: Observation

Students learn how to observe everyday environments systematically and identify opportunities for improvement in products, services, and experiences around them. Through guided observation exercises and field-based activities, students document patterns, behaviours, and inefficiencies, and compile structured observation notes for further analysis.

Day 2: Understanding Real Problems

Skillset: Problem Identification

Students learn how to define problems clearly, identify key stakeholders, and distinguish between visible issues and underlying causes. Through workshops and group activities, students develop problem statements, assess the relative significance of different challenges, and prioritise issues based on context and feasibility.

Day 3: Thinking in Solutions

Skillset: Solution Building

Students explore multiple approaches to solution-building, including products, services, community initiatives, and process improvements. Through brainstorming sessions and design-thinking workshops, students generate solution concepts, evaluate them against criteria such as feasibility, cost, and usability, and refine one direction for development.

Day 4: Building and Testing

Skillset: Prototyping

Students create low-cost prototypes such as sketches, mock interfaces, physical models, roleplays, and demonstrations to test and communicate their ideas. Through build-and-feedback exercises, students complete at least one cycle of prototyping, testing, and iteration based on peer and facilitator feedback.

The DSSE Proof of Concept Lab at IIT Bombay provides the physical infrastructure for selected prototyping activities.

Day 5: Communicating Ideas

Skillset: Storytelling

Students learn how to structure and present ideas clearly by explaining the problem, the reasoning behind their solution, and its intended value. The programme concludes with a final showcase in which teams deliver short presentations and respond to questions from peers and facilitators.
